Good afternoon my lovelies and what a gorgeous one it is at that. Today we have another post on favourite products from Spring and today we're focussing on lipstick. I say lipstick but a cheeky lipgloss may have also snuck in there as well. Judging by my selection it's clear that to me Spring says pink, peachy lipstick. I guess more of a subtle colour compared to Summer which I think of to include brighter shades with the odd orange or red thrown in as well. I thought I would go through my collection and pick out favourites that I would recommend to you all.

Chic By Tanya Burr
I thought we would start with that naughty lip gloss that snuck in there. This is a pale brown nude shade and one that I'll be honest with you all is one that I had forgotten about until recently. This is perfect for a subtle everyday look as a neutral lip looks really flattering for a soft spring make-up look as it isn't too 'in your face'. The formulation of these lip glosses isn't sticky which is really appealing to me as I am often put off by lip gloss as I think of them to be of a thick and sticky consistency which just leaves you with hair stuck to your face constantly throughout the day which is then left feeling sticky and disgusting. However, these lip glosses don't cause you any such pain and are really handy to through in your handbag for on the go touch ups. They are also super moisturising and they remind me scent and taste wise of strawberry laces but not in an artificial way, just a nice summery strawberry scent. The applicator is also of a good size and really easy to use as the wands with some lipsticks can be of an awkward shape and they don't tend to actually coat your lips. This shade was from the original collection but there is a huge range of shades to chose from which can each be purchased at £6.99 which I personally believe is of really good value considering you get a large decent amount of gloss. This is a really flattering shade that would look really pretty with a soft peachy pink blusher and it is the perfect neutral shade that would suit most people.

19 By Rimmel Kate Moss
This shade is from the original Spring collection that Kate Moss produced for Rimmel. Again in is a a brown nude although it is a slightly darker mauve shade to Chic with rose pink undertones. This would actually look really nice along with Chic if you wanted to add that little bit extra to a nude lip colour. I personally love the formulation of the Kate Moss lipsticks I think I own six in total which is probably far too many but they are of a really good consistency and also affordable with a huge range of shades to chose from. I personally also love the taste/smell of these lipsticks - not that, that should be an important factor obviously but they do have a slightly cherry scent to them and cherries are one of my favourite fruits. These lipsticks are really creamy and moisturising yet they don't smudge across your face. They are really pigmented and very rarely need topping up. Again this is a great neutral shade that is perfect for a day or night time look. I would say that the rose undertones make it more of a sophisticated colour. As it is a neutral shade it is useful to have all year round not just for Spring. You can pick this shade up for £5.49 which is really affordable for a high street lipstick which is also of a great quality.

16 By Rimmel Kate Moss
16 is another shade from Kate's original Spring collection for Rimmel. This is a peachy pink shade which is brighter then the previous shades. This is a bit of a statement lipstick for Spring/Summer as it is a soft colour yet it provides a subtle bit of colour that looks flattering along with a white vest top or white jeans. Again the same as 19 it also has that amazing cherry scent, it is super moisturising and glossy with great pigmentation. This shade unsurprisingly is also priced at £5.49. It would be a great shade to take away on holiday with you as it would go with most looks and it is a very feminine and flattering, soft shade.

Peach On The Beach By Bourjois
This is one of my favourite ever lipsticks that I have purchased. Again like 16 it is a peachy pink shade although I would describe it as more peach and less pink if that makes any sense. If I could only wear one shade throughout Spring it would be hands down this one as it is very flattering and easy to wear. For years it has been a firm favourite amongst the beauty bloggers and throughout Spring I always see it popping up on blog posts. It also has the cutest name - Peach On The Beach - how could you not love that? The Bourjois lipsticks are in crayon form which I personally prefer as I find them easier to apply. The Color Boost crayons claim to last up to 10 hours - whether they do or not I don't know I personally haven't gone to the effort of timing how long a lipstick lasts before but what I will say is that they have great staying power more so then the Rimmel lipsticks. These lipsticks are less creamier yet incredibly moisturising which may explain why they have such good pigmentation and staying power. The Bourjois lipsticks are unscented so if you aren't a fan of scented lipsticks then I would recommend checking out the Bourjois range. To me, this shade just shouts Spring as it is the perfect shade for that soft subtle peach look. You can pick one of these up for £7.99 so they are a little more pricy then the previous products but they are well worth that little bit of extra money.

Summer Pink By Maybelline
This is one of the many shades from the Colour Sensational range. This is probably the brightest shade in today's blog post. It is a bright pink shade with almost blue undertones, it also has a hint of shimmer to it which isn't obvious on the lips. It just gives your lips an added shine and appear more moisturised. I would say that these lipsticks are more sheer then the previous ones but they are so easy to wear and to be honest with you I find myself turning to my Maybelline lipsticks the most on a day to day basis. They feel as if you are wearing a lip balm rather then a lipstick as they are so soft and nourishing. It feels as if they are actually doing your lips some good which is important during the warmer months when they can become drier from the heat. A good way to describe the formulation is quite balmy. The Colour Sensational range is ever expanding and one worth checking out. This has a coconut scent to it which I personally love as I have become obsessed with coconut recently as it has so much goodness for your skin, hair and body and it also tastes like summer. You can pick up one of these lipsticks for £6.99 and after writing this post this has made me want to go and review the range to see if any more gems have recently appeared in the collection. If you are a fan of brighter shades then this is definitely one to check out.

Demure By Revlon
I have another lip crayon for you all and this one was released last year. Who remembers the hype around the new Revlon lacquer and matte balms? I certainly do as I got a little carried away and I think I may own six in total which I can't tell if that is excessive or not. Demure is from the lacquer range which are all super glossy and contain a shimmer to them which isn't obvious on the lips. Similar to the Myabelline lipsticks it just gives an added shine without looking glittery or clumpy. Again as I mentioned before I love crayon lipsticks as they are really easy to apply. This is a pretty, soft, pale pink nude shade as I have concluded from writing this blog post I definitely wear more softer and pink shades throughout Spring which I wasn't consciously aware of until today. I would say it is less pink then Peach On The Beach as it does have brown undertones through it. The Revlon lipsticks have a minty freshness to them. That's something else I have learnt today, until now I never paid attention to the scent of lipsticks as it's something I hadn't thought of until now. These are really moisturising and they have a great pigmentation. If I could justify it to myself I would pick up more from the range as they are a classic favourite of mine. You can pick one of these up for £5.99 which I'm pretty sure is cheaper then what they originally came out as.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post my lovelies and let me know what your favourite lipsticks are to wear throughout Spring. I would also like to know if you have tried any of these mentioned and what you thought of them. Enjoy the rest of your days.
