Spring Perfumes 2015

Good morning my lovelies and a Happy Monday to you all. I have the last post for this months Spring favourites collections. I feel like I'm pushing it by talking about Spring at the end of June to be honest. I don't often talk about perfumes on my blog as I am one of the worst person at describing different scents so this may not be the most interesting post you've ever read but we'll go with it. In this post I thought I would talk about my favourite perfumes that I wore over Spring which mainly consists of more floral scents and I guess they turn sweeter for the summer months. I suppose floral scents are quite fitting for Spring with all the flowers coming into bloom.

Japanese Cherry Blossom By The Body Shop
This has been my everyday staple scent for months and months, I would wear this on an everyday basis. I have worn this for years I think I discovered it when I was in year 10 or 11 at secondary school and I have since lost count how many bottle I have worked my way through. I think I like the scent as it's a gentle scent and not too overpowering yet it has a sweet floral fragrance to it. The good think about perfumes from The Body Shop is that they have a huge range which stay fragranced for a long period of time yet they are a lot more affordable compared to more designer brands. This bottle is priced at £7.50 and even though I use it practically everyday it will last me for nearly a year. I purchase the body mist which is a less concentrated version which I like for everyday wear as I can just spray it all over and it isn't too 'in your face' if you know what I mean. There have been several occasions where I have been complimented by this scent at work which is nice, I would prefer a compliment to people complaining about the smell any day.

Honeymania By The Body Shop
This is the only non-floral scent in my Spring favourites collection. I actually received this last summer as a freebie and fell in love with it ever since. Although I've included this in a Spring post I would and will be wearing this over the summer as well. When ever I smell this scent it reminds me of last summer bringing back happy memories of those warm, long summer days which I think we about to experience again this week. It's a really sweet scent but not an artificial scent so even if you aren't normally a fan of sweet scents I would honestly recommend you give this a sniff as it isn't overpowering or sickly it's actually quite subtle. It does smell similar to honey but if I smelt this blindfolded I probably wouldn't say that it reminded me of honey although saying that honey doesn't tend to have a strong scent. I started wearing this again this year probably at the start of last month and I find myself reaching for this more and more often. As it is a toilette it is more concentrated then the previous mist hence the smaller bottle so you don't need to spray as much. I would honestly recommend you check this scent out for summer if you haven't already. You can pick this one up for £8.50. I am currently also working my way through the body butter from the Honey range which I am also a little obsessed with. This would be a great holiday perfume to take away with you on your travels.

Sparkling Apple By The Body Shop
Oh look another perfume from The Body Shop now theres a surprise for those of you who don't know I am not ashamed to admit that I have an addiction and obsession with The Body Shop, always have done and always will do. Unfortunately I think this one has been discontinued which saddens me deeply as I will now only use it sparingly as once it's gone it's gone. Although it's called Apple, I wouldn't describe this as an apple scent as you know you get some products for example their green apple shower gel or the candy apple scent from the christmas range which just smell in one word delicious - true fresh apples. However, this reminded me more of a cross between apple blossom and cider and I think the floral hint to it is what made me turn to it during Spring. Again this is also a smaller more concentrated toilette so I'm assuming it was also priced at £8.50 but I've had this for quite a few years now so I honestly can't remember.

Daisy By Marc Jacobs
We are now moving onto the more designer perfumes where we will now see what can only be described as disgusting prices. I was lucky enough to receive this as a gift from my Gran a couple of Christmases ago and which to be honest with you all I had, had my eye on it for quite a while before then. As you could imagine by the name and packaging this is of a floral scent but hands up that is probably the best description you will get from me, sorry I did warn you all. Although I would say it is more musky compared to the cherry blossom perfume which would mean I would wear it more Winter/Spring compared to Spring/Summer and that could also be the association with the Christmas gift who knows. I love this scent as I do with a large range of the Marc Jacobs perfumes. I also think the gold packaging is really cute with the daisies. Maybe not the most practical packaging for taking with you in a make-up bag I'll give you that but the Marc Jacobs bottles always look spectacular. I love daisies myself they just make me think of Spring and my obsession has moved onto daisy clothing and daisy jewellery which is an ever growing collection. If you like the smell of daisies you will love this perfume. This can be picked up for - deep breaths now - £52. Yet as I found out it makes a lovely gift or treat for yourself of you're looking for a new perfume. There are also lot's of variations of the daisy perfume whether that is more sweeter or musky but the original is my personal favourite.

Ultra Violet By DKNY
I personally love the DKNY perfumes and I slowly am developing an extending collection. I was lucky enough to receive this as a gift from my Mum last year and it was part of the limited edition Spring collection so again unfortunately I can't repurchase it so it is another one I will use sparingly and save for special occasions. I only own limited edition perfumes from her collection which probably isn't useful for me as I can't repurchase them so I don't help myself really. I love the statement apple shapes of the perfume bottles which are also much more practical for travelling compared to the Marc Jacobs bottle if you are looking for a holiday perfume. Again, bold statement coming your way now brace yourselves, this is another floral perfume although it is lighter then the daisy scent. It reminds of of a cross between the cherry blossom and sparking apple scent as it is floral yet theres that subtle cider hint to it. This probably smells truly disgusting but I promise you it smells incredible and it is one of my all time favourites. Whenever I have gone out or had a family occasion recently I have found myself turning to this perfume on several occasions and I know I will continue to over summer as well as it is another perfume that brings back happy memories of last summer. Does anyone else associate perfumes with different memories? As it is no longer available I have no idea how much this one cost but the original version is on average about £49 so I'm assuming it was around that price band. I had a Debenhams gift card so I recently purchased one of the limited edition bottles from her 2015 collection which is the one in the orange bottle which honestly smells incredible! If you can get your hands on it I would highly recommend it but the orange one seems to be sold out in most shops now so you need to be speedy.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post my lovelies, let me know in the comments what perfumes you enjoyed wearing over Spring I am always up for trying new perfumes. I'll justify it to myself for blogging reasons. I hope you have good days, now that Wimbledon has started again to me that screams strawberries and summer so I plan to spend a large chunk of my day watching that and I shall reappear after a couple of weeks again once it has finished.

June Glossybox 2015

Good afternoon my lovelies and a Happy Friday to you all - nearly the weekend whose on countdown? Earlier in the week a lovely little something full of goodness arrived in the post and it was the June Glossybox festival edition. I love it when the boxes have a theme to them it makes it more intriguing. This box features three full size products to last you throughout summer. The box contains a range of products of travel essentials, skin protectors and beauty. Glossybox often features products that aren't available to buy yet so it's useful to find out what the up and coming beauty trends and essentials are going to be. Another good thing and also may I add generous thing about Glossybox is that they often provide you with exclusive codes and discounts for if you chose to repurchase a product and in this months box I received a £25 voucher for Hello Fresh which was a nice surprise.

Rosewood Reviving Mist By MONU Spa
Now I love a spa product I mean who doesn't love a spa product. This is a reviving face mist that you can spray onto your face in the morning and throughout the day to provide a reviving and refreshing feeling. It can be used on bare skin, moisturised or onto make-up to set it in place. I'm not overwhelmed by the smell to be honest it sounds appealing of Lemon, Rosewood, Sandlewood, Petitgrain and Geranium yet to me it smells slightly clinical and earthy but if it does the job then I can compromise on that one. Typical timing on my front I actually recently purchased a very similar product from The Body Shop the reviving Vitamin E face mist which has exactly the same purpose to provide moisture and refresh the face. I have loved using it, I use it in the morning to set my make-up in place and I find that it lasts longer and throughout the day. As I have oily skin I use a matte foundation so I also find that the added moisture reduces cakeyness which is an added bonus. The Body Shop one feels so fresh and refreshing and it does smell more appealing so it will be interesting to see how they compare. I may write a blog post comparing the two. The vitamin E product can be purchased at £8 so it is cheaper to £11.95 on the MONU Spa product. There does seem to be a trend for reviving sprays which will be useful throughout the summer and drier months to reduces dryness and provide sun protection.

Faux Tattoos By Glossybox
Over the past couple of months there has been a real trend occurring for fake tattoos I think I noticed that this started around the start of the Cochella festival. I'll be totally honest and I've never been one for fake tattoos, even as a kid I wasn't really interested. I saw that loads of people were wearing these but I couldn't understand why and I thought that they looked kind of gimmicky. Having said that when I saw that these were in the box I am now not ashamed to admit that I got a just a little bit excited. I've never been one to miss a trend so I'm actually really looking forward to trying these out. I'm really into my metallics at the moment, all the golds, silvers and obviously by total obsession of rose gold. I just think that they look really pretty over the summer months and they can make you look more tanned which is an added bonus. There are eight different designs which you could apply how they are or cut them into different shapes. They all feature a different patten incorporating black, silver and gold. I don't think they will even look tacky once applied and as soon as those warm summer days where it's 17 degrees when you wake up and high twenties throughout the day start I'll be 100% applying these - that's if we're lucky enough to get a good summer here again this year in the UK. I think these will look really nice applied around the wrists, hands, hips and ankles to subtly catch the light.

They are easy to apply, just the same as the ones children use. Tear off the clear plastic and apply the tattoo face down onto clear dry skin. Hold a damp cloth over the tattoo for a minute. Once the tattoo has transferred allow it to dry for 5-10 minutes. Glossybox claim that the tattoos will last for up to seven days so it will be interesting to see how well they do actually last. They also give you a tip to remove them as I hate it when halve has peeled off and you're left with black marks on your body and I think that's something that usually puts me off tattoos. Apparently baby, coconut or olive oil can all be used to get rid of the tattoo once it's faded or you want to remove it. If these were rose gold they would be perfect for me but I still am keen to try these. You can purchase these for £6.50 which is pretty good as you get a lot of different designs which are all a good decent size.

Facial Wipes By Halo
Facial wipes are an essential for festivals as festivals often seem to be famous for their toilets as not being the place that you want to spend more then five seconds in. To be honest with you the toilets is one of the main things that puts me off festivals. You definitely wouldn't be cleansing, toning and exfoliating with your Liz Earle skin products at a festival. Any skin experts reading this may suffer a small heart attack at the thought of people solely relying on face wipes to remove make-up. When I remove my make-up I start by using Simple face wipes to remove the make-up followed by Simple cleanser, toner and moisturiser. If you're interested in my skin care routine you can click here to read a full blog post on it. These face wipes claim to be non-scented and ideal for those of you with sensitive skin. These are both features that I say also apply to Simple as having sensitive skin myself I personally love Simple as they are as the name suggests very simple without unnecessary perfumes or chemicals. There are 10 wipes in a pack which isn't loads but perfect to take with you if you're traveling i.e. to a festival. I'm planning to go to Paris with my Mum in September so these would be ideal for that as they are compact and won't take up too much room in your make-up bag so I think I will save these for that little adventure. The wipes contain vitamin E and Aloe Vera so they should leave your skin feeling refreshed afterwards. You can pick a pack of these up for £1.20.

Anticellulite Booster By Kueshi
I wasn't really sure what to make of this product as cellulite isn't something I have experienced before so whether I will get much use out of this product I'll be honest in the fact I don't know. For those of you concerned about cellulite this light weight formula claims to tone and firm your skin and reduce dimples by speeding up your blood circulation due to the antioxidants that it contains. To use this product you would need to massage the cream into your legs twice a day. This product is priced at £14.55 so a more expensive cream but if it does the job then it will be worth the money if you are body conscious about your legs. The cream works by inhibiting fat cells and preventing the formation of new fat cells. If you are someone who is anxious about getting their legs out in the sun over summer then this cream may be worth a try.

Gel Nail Polish By Essence
I love red nail polish I think it's an easy colour to wear all year round. This is a pillar box red shade with the name I don't care! which I love. This bright, neon red is perfect for a bit of colour for Summer and festivals. During Spring I am all for my pale pastel shades but I love wearing brighter colours over Summer for a bit of fun. This colour will look gorgeous on the finger and toe nails. The fact that these polishes are of a gel formula excites me as I love gel nail polishes. They tend to be thicker when you apply them but they are super glossy and they tend to withstand chipping for a longer period compared to more liquid based formulas. I think that there were three possible shades to receive: a bright red, cobalt blue and a sparkly turquoise green shade. The Essence nail polishes are also really affordable at only £1.71 a bottle. This would be the perfect nail polish to pick up before going to a festival as it isn't expensive and it's a small bottle that you wouldn't need to worry about smashing as it feels sturdy if you chose to take the nail polish with you. Hands up I am well aware that I have addiction to nail polish so any new polish is a welcome addition to my ever growing and expanding collection.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. Let me know in the comments which products are your favourites and if you have tried any and what you thought of them. Have a lovely weekend my lovelies.

Spring Lipsticks 2015

Clockwise from top left: Chic, 19, 16, Peach On The Beach, Summer Pink, Demure

Clockwise from top left: Chic, 19, 16, Peach On The Beach, Summer Pink, Demure
Good afternoon my lovelies and what a gorgeous one it is at that. Today we have another post on favourite products from Spring and today we're focussing on lipstick. I say lipstick but a cheeky lipgloss may have also snuck in there as well. Judging by my selection it's clear that to me Spring says pink, peachy lipstick. I guess more of a subtle colour compared to Summer which I think of to include brighter shades with the odd orange or red thrown in as well. I thought I would go through my collection and pick out favourites that I would recommend to you all.

Chic By Tanya Burr
I thought we would start with that naughty lip gloss that snuck in there. This is a pale brown nude shade and one that I'll be honest with you all is one that I had forgotten about until recently. This is perfect for a subtle everyday look as a neutral lip looks really flattering for a soft spring make-up look as it isn't too 'in your face'. The formulation of these lip glosses isn't sticky which is really appealing to me as I am often put off by lip gloss as I think of them to be of a thick and sticky consistency which just leaves you with hair stuck to your face constantly throughout the day which is then left feeling sticky and disgusting. However, these lip glosses don't cause you any such pain and are really handy to through in your handbag for on the go touch ups. They are also super moisturising and they remind me scent and taste wise of strawberry laces but not in an artificial way, just a nice summery strawberry scent. The applicator is also of a good size and really easy to use as the wands with some lipsticks can be of an awkward shape and they don't tend to actually coat your lips. This shade was from the original collection but there is a huge range of shades to chose from which can each be purchased at £6.99 which I personally believe is of really good value considering you get a large decent amount of gloss. This is a really flattering shade that would look really pretty with a soft peachy pink blusher and it is the perfect neutral shade that would suit most people.

19 By Rimmel Kate Moss
This shade is from the original Spring collection that Kate Moss produced for Rimmel. Again in is a a brown nude although it is a slightly darker mauve shade to Chic with rose pink undertones. This would actually look really nice along with Chic if you wanted to add that little bit extra to a nude lip colour. I personally love the formulation of the Kate Moss lipsticks I think I own six in total which is probably far too many but they are of a really good consistency and also affordable with a huge range of shades to chose from. I personally also love the taste/smell of these lipsticks - not that, that should be an important factor obviously but they do have a slightly cherry scent to them and cherries are one of my favourite fruits. These lipsticks are really creamy and moisturising yet they don't smudge across your face. They are really pigmented and very rarely need topping up. Again this is a great neutral shade that is perfect for a day or night time look. I would say that the rose undertones make it more of a sophisticated colour. As it is a neutral shade it is useful to have all year round not just for Spring. You can pick this shade up for £5.49 which is really affordable for a high street lipstick which is also of a great quality.

16 By Rimmel Kate Moss
16 is another shade from Kate's original Spring collection for Rimmel. This is a peachy pink shade which is brighter then the previous shades. This is a bit of a statement lipstick for Spring/Summer as it is a soft colour yet it provides a subtle bit of colour that looks flattering along with a white vest top or white jeans. Again the same as 19 it also has that amazing cherry scent, it is super moisturising and glossy with great pigmentation. This shade unsurprisingly is also priced at £5.49. It would be a great shade to take away on holiday with you as it would go with most looks and it is a very feminine and flattering, soft shade.

Peach On The Beach By Bourjois
This is one of my favourite ever lipsticks that I have purchased. Again like 16 it is a peachy pink shade although I would describe it as more peach and less pink if that makes any sense. If I could only wear one shade throughout Spring it would be hands down this one as it is very flattering and easy to wear. For years it has been a firm favourite amongst the beauty bloggers and throughout Spring I always see it popping up on blog posts. It also has the cutest name - Peach On The Beach - how could you not love that? The Bourjois lipsticks are in crayon form which I personally prefer as I find them easier to apply. The Color Boost crayons claim to last up to 10 hours - whether they do or not I don't know I personally haven't gone to the effort of timing how long a lipstick lasts before but what I will say is that they have great staying power more so then the Rimmel lipsticks. These lipsticks are less creamier yet incredibly moisturising which may explain why they have such good pigmentation and staying power. The Bourjois lipsticks are unscented so if you aren't a fan of scented lipsticks then I would recommend checking out the Bourjois range. To me, this shade just shouts Spring as it is the perfect shade for that soft subtle peach look. You can pick one of these up for £7.99 so they are a little more pricy then the previous products but they are well worth that little bit of extra money.

Summer Pink By Maybelline
This is one of the many shades from the Colour Sensational range. This is probably the brightest shade in today's blog post. It is a bright pink shade with almost blue undertones, it also has a hint of shimmer to it which isn't obvious on the lips. It just gives your lips an added shine and appear more moisturised. I would say that these lipsticks are more sheer then the previous ones but they are so easy to wear and to be honest with you I find myself turning to my Maybelline lipsticks the most on a day to day basis. They feel as if you are wearing a lip balm rather then a lipstick as they are so soft and nourishing. It feels as if they are actually doing your lips some good which is important during the warmer months when they can become drier from the heat. A good way to describe the formulation is quite balmy. The Colour Sensational range is ever expanding and one worth checking out. This has a coconut scent to it which I personally love as I have become obsessed with coconut recently as it has so much goodness for your skin, hair and body and it also tastes like summer. You can pick up one of these lipsticks for £6.99 and after writing this post this has made me want to go and review the range to see if any more gems have recently appeared in the collection. If you are a fan of brighter shades then this is definitely one to check out.

Demure By Revlon
I have another lip crayon for you all and this one was released last year. Who remembers the hype around the new Revlon lacquer and matte balms? I certainly do as I got a little carried away and I think I may own six in total which I can't tell if that is excessive or not. Demure is from the lacquer range which are all super glossy and contain a shimmer to them which isn't obvious on the lips. Similar to the Myabelline lipsticks it just gives an added shine without looking glittery or clumpy. Again as I mentioned before I love crayon lipsticks as they are really easy to apply. This is a pretty, soft, pale pink nude shade as I have concluded from writing this blog post I definitely wear more softer and pink shades throughout Spring which I wasn't consciously aware of until today. I would say it is less pink then Peach On The Beach as it does have brown undertones through it. The Revlon lipsticks have a minty freshness to them. That's something else I have learnt today, until now I never paid attention to the scent of lipsticks as it's something I hadn't thought of until now. These are really moisturising and they have a great pigmentation. If I could justify it to myself I would pick up more from the range as they are a classic favourite of mine. You can pick one of these up for £5.99 which I'm pretty sure is cheaper then what they originally came out as.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post my lovelies and let me know what your favourite lipsticks are to wear throughout Spring. I would also like to know if you have tried any of these mentioned and what you thought of them. Enjoy the rest of your days.

Spring Nails 2015

Top Left Clokwise: Eurso Euro, Fondant, Ultra Violet, Dragon Fruit, Blueberry Muffin, Sugar Apple
Afternoon my lovelies and what a lovely one it is at that. I suppose June is the month where we make the transition from Spring to Summer so I thought this month I would feature several posts talking about my favourite products that I used over the Spring months, starting today with nails. Now nail varnish is my weakness and major obsession. I own far too many which means I take donkey's years to get through it in fact I don't think I've ever got through a bottle before it's gone out of date. My nail varnish draw is full to the brim so I really, really don't need anymore, well that's what I keep telling myself anyway but somehow I always seem to justify buying more. Does anyone else do the same thing where they can quite easily justify having 10 shades of a really similar pink but you can justify it as they aren't exactly the same? Or I also am ashamed to admit that I do have a couple of bottles that are exactly the same but I justified it in the fact that they are from a different brand. Shocking I know. To me personally, Spring nail varnishes scream pretty pastel shades. I'm all for the pale pinks, purples, blues, greens, nudes and even oranges and yellows.  I think that pastel shades can look very pretty and feminine on the nails yet they draw attention to your nails as I find they can make you look more tanned which is perfect as you tend to be in the early stages of building up a tan during this time  of the year.

Blueberry Muffin By Models Own
The pastel scented nail polishes from Models Own aren't a recent release however they are a recent addition to my collection. It has taken me far too many years to get round to trying these which I am ashamed to admit as the entire collection is perfect for Spring and you could buy the collection and not need any other polishes. I was always tempted to try these as they are scented however they never seemed to be in stock when I would go to buy one. I own two from the collection: Blueberry Muffin and Apple Pie but they also sell Banana Split (yellow), Strawberry Tart (pink), Grape Juice (purple), Peach Melba (orange) and Coconut Cream (cream). The answer to the question of do they really smell is yes and they smell pretty good at that. I personally like the smell of nail polish but I know many people don't so this will be a nice fruity alternative for those of you. It smells in the bottle and the scent lasts after you have painted your nails. The Apple Pie one smells incredible but I personally don't like the smell of Blueberry Muffin it smells slightly off to me but the colour is so gorgeous it's something I can live with. Blueberries are one of my favourite fruits I have them everyday with my breakfast but I wouldn't say they really smell of anything. Blueberry Muffin is a gorgeous pale blue and really pale at that almost verging on the grey undertone side. I think that it is a very flattering and Spring like shade and perfect for those of you who prefer more neutral shades. I have worn this pretty much everyday recently especially over April and May. You can pick one of these up for £4.99 so it is one of the more affordable brands of nail polish if you're on a tight budget.

Fondant By Barry M
Sticking with the theme of the really pale pastel shades, Fondant was released by Barry M this year along with a pale turquoise and cream. It is a gorgeous and I really mean gorgeous pastel pale lilac shade. There are a huge amount of pale lilac shades in the shops yet I still haven't seen one that is quite like this one before, it's on a higher level. I'm not sure why it's so special but I instantly fell in love with it and new I had to purchase it. I could quite easily justify adding this gem to my collection. It is very wearable as it is also very neutral and not in your face so you could wear this during the day or evening. You could justify wearing this to work or college and still look professional rather then a bright neon pink which is less subtle. This looks very feminine on the nails and alongside Blueberry Muffin it has been a top shade of mine recently and I have pretty much alternated between the two throughout Spring. I also love this shade as it is part of the Gelly formulation from Barry M which is my favourite formula that they produce. The Gellys are slightly thicker yet they are incredibly glossy and shiny and look like proper salon gel nails. The best thing about Barry M is that it is also really affordable as you can pick up this shade for only £3.99. Yet as far as I'm concerned Barry M own it for me nail wise even against high end brands. They are really cheap yet of an amazing quality with a huge range of colours to chose from to suit every occasion. I'm pretty sure that over 70% of my collection is pure Barry M.

Sugar Apple By Barry M
This is the last one of my Spring picks that is a really pale pastel shade. This shade was introduced for Spring 2014 and as Fondant and Blueberry Muffin have been for me this year, it was my staple shade and I pretty much wore this shade throughout the entire Spring/Summer months. It is a gorgeous pale green which I would say appears even more paler on the nails. Sometimes I find greens very difficult to wear on the nails but pastel greens are the only greens I tend to wear and as I think they look really bright and pretty on the nails. I love this shade as it always makes my hands look more tanned. This is another one of the Gellys from Barry M and the good thing about the Gelly shades is that as they are so thick you could still get away with applying only two coats of these pastel shades where as with other brands you may need three or four for the paler shades if they have a more watery formulation. Again like Fondant you can pick this beauty up for only £3.99 and it will 100% be worth it. It still remains a firm favourite in my collection and long may it continue. I also think that the name of this one is adorable - not that, that should be an important factor of course.

Dragon Fruit By Barry M
The last Barry M polish for this post I promise and what a surprise it's another Gelly. This is several years old now i think I was either in year 11 or 12 when it came out as it was part of the second batch of Gelly's that were released. I would describe it as a bright pastel pink, it's more vibrant then the previous pastel shades yet it's not as bright as a neon. I also like to wear slightly brighter shades during Spring as they can be a bit of fun but I seem to reserve the neons for the Summer months. Like I said it's a pretty pink almost slightly barbie doll and it contains a really subtle hint of shimmer to it which gives it that extra bit of shine. You can't see the glitter when painted on the nails but you can see slight specs of silver glitter in the bottle. You probably guessed that you can pick this one up also for £3.99.

Ultra Violet By Rimmel
I don't know why but I never tend to go for Rimmel nail polishes I guess sometimes I find the formula a bit watery and it takes a while to set. Although having said that this shade has been one of my most loved shades ever. It's that classic pale purple that everybody wears throughout Spring although it's brighter then Fondant. Similar to Dragon Fruit I would describe this as a bright pastel shade that gives you that little bit more colour then the pastel shades. This is really old now yet it's still fine to use, in fact I'm currently wearing it now and I had forgotten how shinny it is. It's so old I think Rimmel have discontinued it. They still sell several of shades very similar in fact probably the same but under a different name now but I do love the name of this one. As it's discontinued I'm not 100% sure on the price when I purchased this one but judging by the website I recon this one would have cost around the £4.49 mark.

Eurso Euro By OPI
This last polish is different to all the others as it is a deep, rich dark blue shade. Now I don't know why this is as I love all my pastel shades for Spring but I also think that a dark blue shade also says Spring. This may sound weird but I have also seen this in magazines raving that dark blue nails is a firm Spring trend. I saw that for this Spring and last Spring and it was a proud moment as this one was featured in one of the articles and I picked this one up before I knew of the upcoming trend. I love OPI polishes they are my favourite along with Barry M yet OPI are of the opposite spectrum as they are more expensive and of a luxury nail polish. I think this one cost me around the £11 mark. Yet they have a really glossy finish but with a more lacquer formulation which is so easy to use and it easily glides onto the nails making application of the polish quid and easy, I also love the large glass bottle and the large brush handle they always look really posh in my collection. You do get more product with OPI which is another reason why they are so pricy so one of these polishes would last you a longer time. This is one of my all time favourite nail polishes and I wouldn't be without it, it is always sure to make an appearance over Spring. I don't own many OPI polishes so it's always a treat when I discover a new one.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post my lovelies. Let me know in the comments what your favourite nail polishes are to wear over Spring. I hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoons.

May Favourites 2015

Evening my lovelies unfortunately, it's Monday today which means a lot of you will have gone back to school today and I have had to work after a very enjoyable week off but don't threat as heres a monthly favourites post for you all. I honestly can't get over how quickly May has flown by it only seems like yesterday that I was sat in the sun writing my April favourites post for you all. There have been a lot of beauty related products that I have enjoyed using this past month and I found that I struggled to narrow it down which I don't usually find normally I can just think of five products straight away and just like that know exactly which ones deserve a space in my favourites but I suppose that it's a good thing really.

Naked 3 Palette By Urban Decay
Now I love an Urban Decay product and who doesn't? This has to be one of my favourite product from Urban Decay and you can see a full review on this palette by clicking here. The palette is full of 12 gorgeous rose gold tone shades and as you all know I do love my rose gold, especially for Spring and Summer I think it's just beautiful. The shades are mainly warm pink tonnes with a couple of golds and purples in there as well and of course an essential highlighting shade which is gorgeous. The shadows range from matte, shimmer and metallic. This palette is perfect due to the vast quantity of shades and formulations it would suit any eye make-up look for day time or the evening depending on what you were doing. If I could only own one eyeshadow palette, hands down it would be this one. I have used this most days this last month as I have been lucky enough to have some time off wok as I wouldn't wear it to work as it's so special to me I kind of want to save it for special occasions or when I'm doing something nice - how sad do I sound right now but yes I'll admit it I am slightly emotionally attached to this palette. Although this palette is on the pricy side I think they are priced at around £37 they are so worth the value as they have amazing pigmentation which last throughout the day without creasing and there are so many shades there are endless possibilities of looks you can create. I received this as a gift last Christmas so if you know someone whose just starting out with make-up or has a real love for it then this would make the perfect gift. My favourite shades from the palette are Strange, Trick, Liar, Factory and Mugshot but recently I have been enjoying applying Burnout all over my eyelid followed by factory in the outer corner of the eye for a subtle rose tone day time look.

Lasting Perfection Concealer By Collection
How this little gem of a product hasn't appeared in a favourites post yet I have no idea. I guess because I use this product everyday it is always a favourite product to me so it never seems to stand out as something I have particularly loved using a certain month. Having said that I have noticed this month my under eye circles have been a little worse for wares so I have found myself applying this a little more heavy duty then usual. This concealer has been a favourite amongst the beauty bloggers for years and years now ever since it was introduced and it was from reading beauty blogs or watching youtube videos that I discovered it. Ever since I have used this concealer ever since in fact I never bother to try other concealers I won't touch them as I know this concealer works and as that old saying goes ' if it ain't broke don't fix it'. That's probably bad beauty blogging advice as I should try other concealers but personally I don't find excitement from trying new concealers they are more of a necessity as I can be paranoid about my under eye circles or redness/blemishes. This is a really creamy concealer that provides full coverage so if you prefer a light weight concealer then I wouldn't recommend this one for you. This is perfect for covering up redness and dark circles and it is so easy to blend by simply dabbing with your ring finger. The other great thing about this is that it is really affordable and you can find it at your local highstreet in Boots or Superdrug so it is really easy to get hold of. I always have at least one spare in case of emergencies. I alternate between using this in the shade 1 Fair and 2 Cool Medium depending on my skin tone with the time of year.

Body Sorbet In Mango By The Body Shop
This isn't a new product in my endless Body Shop stash, it was one that I picked up last year at the end of summer and it is something that I have rediscovered. The Body Shop launched the body sorbets last year, who remembers the packaging with the ice-cream? A body sorbet is the lightest formulation of body 'products' that they do. The body butters are the thickest, followed by the lotions and then the sorbets. The sorbets are perfect for summer as they dissolve into your skin so quickly they just melt away and it feels as if you skin is absorbing the lotion like a sponge which makes me slightly paranoid I have very dehydrated skin. I love these as they absorb so quickly it means I'm not then stood there in a sticky mess not being able to move or get dressed. In less then a minute the sorbet will be fully absorbed and I can feel free to move and get dressed. They come in a huge range of fragrances, pretty much the entire permanent range such as satsuma, mango and tea tree. I also have another one in Strawberry that I will use after this one. The mango scent is so refreshing and not overly sweet, it basically smells like warm sunny days with fresh mango on a tropical beach. The packaging is also super cute and it would be the perfect product to take away on holiday with you to keep your skin feeling refreshed and soothed from the sun. That's another way I would describe it, the cooling feeling it provides your skin reminds me of that cooling effect that you get from after sun. So I would advise you to hold fire on the body butters until after summer and give the sorbets a whirl for the next couple of warm summer months, fingers crossed.

Elderflower Eye Gel By The Body Shop
I am always paranoid about my dark circles or baggy eyes even though I am only 19 I think I am just prone and doomed to tired looking eyes no matter how much sleep I get. I am always trying out new eye gels/creams praying that one may have a slight effect. After a naughty splurge in The Body Shop which I'm tempted to write a haul post on I received this as a freebie and well it would be rude not to. It's an unperfumed eye gel from The Body Shop, I have no idea what the ingredients are but all I do know is that it feels incredibly cooling under the eyes. I apply this twice a day once in the morning when I wake up and in the evening it's the last thing I apply after taking my make-up off and moisturising my face. I love applying this especially in the morning as like I said it feels incredibly cooling and it feels like it is helping to waken my eyes up almost invigorating them. I also feel as if they look less baggy, whether that's just psychological or not I don't know but it does the trick for me. I'm not sure if you can buy this or as it was a freebie it might be a new product that they are testing but if you re-new or sign up to their membership account then you should receive this.

Warm Apple Pie Hugs By Treacle Moon
I wish there was a way that you could smell this next product as if you could you would know hands down why this is in my favourites post. It is the most incredible smelling bath and shower gel I have ever known. As the title suggests it smells like Apple pie and if you follow my blog you know that I'm a sucker for apple smelling products. It's all my favourite smells combined, when you first smell it you get fresh apples and then you get the sweet scent of the pie coming through, you know that biscuity/cakey/cinammon smell. It honestly smells incredible, I could quite happily smell this all day. I recon they need to bring about a body butter/lotion version of this as it would be to die for. Unfortunately this was a limited edition product so I'm not sure if it's still in the shops as I got this a couple of months ago but I think I grabbed this from my local Tescos. I just love the packaging of the Treacle Moon products they are very affordable yet you get a nice chunky bottle which looks very satisfying and inviting on the side of your bath. I always have at least one of their products in stock in fact I think I have a limited edition Melon one that they brought out last year, I loved it so much I went back and brought another three to stock up before they discontinued it. I have one left that I can't bare to use in case I can't find it this summer. I also love the cute messages they put on the front of their bottles, "memories of a cosy kitchen where sunlight danced and played ... It felt like the whole world was cocooned in glorious apple pie heavenliness".

Thank you for reading this post my lovelies, I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them. Let me know in the comments what you're favourites have been this past month.
