May Favourites 2015

Evening my lovelies unfortunately, it's Monday today which means a lot of you will have gone back to school today and I have had to work after a very enjoyable week off but don't threat as heres a monthly favourites post for you all. I honestly can't get over how quickly May has flown by it only seems like yesterday that I was sat in the sun writing my April favourites post for you all. There have been a lot of beauty related products that I have enjoyed using this past month and I found that I struggled to narrow it down which I don't usually find normally I can just think of five products straight away and just like that know exactly which ones deserve a space in my favourites but I suppose that it's a good thing really.

Naked 3 Palette By Urban Decay
Now I love an Urban Decay product and who doesn't? This has to be one of my favourite product from Urban Decay and you can see a full review on this palette by clicking here. The palette is full of 12 gorgeous rose gold tone shades and as you all know I do love my rose gold, especially for Spring and Summer I think it's just beautiful. The shades are mainly warm pink tonnes with a couple of golds and purples in there as well and of course an essential highlighting shade which is gorgeous. The shadows range from matte, shimmer and metallic. This palette is perfect due to the vast quantity of shades and formulations it would suit any eye make-up look for day time or the evening depending on what you were doing. If I could only own one eyeshadow palette, hands down it would be this one. I have used this most days this last month as I have been lucky enough to have some time off wok as I wouldn't wear it to work as it's so special to me I kind of want to save it for special occasions or when I'm doing something nice - how sad do I sound right now but yes I'll admit it I am slightly emotionally attached to this palette. Although this palette is on the pricy side I think they are priced at around £37 they are so worth the value as they have amazing pigmentation which last throughout the day without creasing and there are so many shades there are endless possibilities of looks you can create. I received this as a gift last Christmas so if you know someone whose just starting out with make-up or has a real love for it then this would make the perfect gift. My favourite shades from the palette are Strange, Trick, Liar, Factory and Mugshot but recently I have been enjoying applying Burnout all over my eyelid followed by factory in the outer corner of the eye for a subtle rose tone day time look.

Lasting Perfection Concealer By Collection
How this little gem of a product hasn't appeared in a favourites post yet I have no idea. I guess because I use this product everyday it is always a favourite product to me so it never seems to stand out as something I have particularly loved using a certain month. Having said that I have noticed this month my under eye circles have been a little worse for wares so I have found myself applying this a little more heavy duty then usual. This concealer has been a favourite amongst the beauty bloggers for years and years now ever since it was introduced and it was from reading beauty blogs or watching youtube videos that I discovered it. Ever since I have used this concealer ever since in fact I never bother to try other concealers I won't touch them as I know this concealer works and as that old saying goes ' if it ain't broke don't fix it'. That's probably bad beauty blogging advice as I should try other concealers but personally I don't find excitement from trying new concealers they are more of a necessity as I can be paranoid about my under eye circles or redness/blemishes. This is a really creamy concealer that provides full coverage so if you prefer a light weight concealer then I wouldn't recommend this one for you. This is perfect for covering up redness and dark circles and it is so easy to blend by simply dabbing with your ring finger. The other great thing about this is that it is really affordable and you can find it at your local highstreet in Boots or Superdrug so it is really easy to get hold of. I always have at least one spare in case of emergencies. I alternate between using this in the shade 1 Fair and 2 Cool Medium depending on my skin tone with the time of year.

Body Sorbet In Mango By The Body Shop
This isn't a new product in my endless Body Shop stash, it was one that I picked up last year at the end of summer and it is something that I have rediscovered. The Body Shop launched the body sorbets last year, who remembers the packaging with the ice-cream? A body sorbet is the lightest formulation of body 'products' that they do. The body butters are the thickest, followed by the lotions and then the sorbets. The sorbets are perfect for summer as they dissolve into your skin so quickly they just melt away and it feels as if you skin is absorbing the lotion like a sponge which makes me slightly paranoid I have very dehydrated skin. I love these as they absorb so quickly it means I'm not then stood there in a sticky mess not being able to move or get dressed. In less then a minute the sorbet will be fully absorbed and I can feel free to move and get dressed. They come in a huge range of fragrances, pretty much the entire permanent range such as satsuma, mango and tea tree. I also have another one in Strawberry that I will use after this one. The mango scent is so refreshing and not overly sweet, it basically smells like warm sunny days with fresh mango on a tropical beach. The packaging is also super cute and it would be the perfect product to take away on holiday with you to keep your skin feeling refreshed and soothed from the sun. That's another way I would describe it, the cooling feeling it provides your skin reminds me of that cooling effect that you get from after sun. So I would advise you to hold fire on the body butters until after summer and give the sorbets a whirl for the next couple of warm summer months, fingers crossed.

Elderflower Eye Gel By The Body Shop
I am always paranoid about my dark circles or baggy eyes even though I am only 19 I think I am just prone and doomed to tired looking eyes no matter how much sleep I get. I am always trying out new eye gels/creams praying that one may have a slight effect. After a naughty splurge in The Body Shop which I'm tempted to write a haul post on I received this as a freebie and well it would be rude not to. It's an unperfumed eye gel from The Body Shop, I have no idea what the ingredients are but all I do know is that it feels incredibly cooling under the eyes. I apply this twice a day once in the morning when I wake up and in the evening it's the last thing I apply after taking my make-up off and moisturising my face. I love applying this especially in the morning as like I said it feels incredibly cooling and it feels like it is helping to waken my eyes up almost invigorating them. I also feel as if they look less baggy, whether that's just psychological or not I don't know but it does the trick for me. I'm not sure if you can buy this or as it was a freebie it might be a new product that they are testing but if you re-new or sign up to their membership account then you should receive this.

Warm Apple Pie Hugs By Treacle Moon
I wish there was a way that you could smell this next product as if you could you would know hands down why this is in my favourites post. It is the most incredible smelling bath and shower gel I have ever known. As the title suggests it smells like Apple pie and if you follow my blog you know that I'm a sucker for apple smelling products. It's all my favourite smells combined, when you first smell it you get fresh apples and then you get the sweet scent of the pie coming through, you know that biscuity/cakey/cinammon smell. It honestly smells incredible, I could quite happily smell this all day. I recon they need to bring about a body butter/lotion version of this as it would be to die for. Unfortunately this was a limited edition product so I'm not sure if it's still in the shops as I got this a couple of months ago but I think I grabbed this from my local Tescos. I just love the packaging of the Treacle Moon products they are very affordable yet you get a nice chunky bottle which looks very satisfying and inviting on the side of your bath. I always have at least one of their products in stock in fact I think I have a limited edition Melon one that they brought out last year, I loved it so much I went back and brought another three to stock up before they discontinued it. I have one left that I can't bare to use in case I can't find it this summer. I also love the cute messages they put on the front of their bottles, "memories of a cosy kitchen where sunlight danced and played ... It felt like the whole world was cocooned in glorious apple pie heavenliness".

Thank you for reading this post my lovelies, I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them. Let me know in the comments what you're favourites have been this past month.
